This study has been carried out to investigate the types of differential diagnosis of amnesia. The results are as follows; 1. Amnesia has various types of differential diagnosis(Ü©ñûÝÂúþ) ; deficiency of both the heart and spleen(ãýÞ¡å»úÈúþ), deficiency of the heart(ãýúÈúþ), deficiency of the kidney(ãìúÈúþ), breakdown of the coordination between the heart and the kidney(ãýãìÜôÎßúþ), mental confusion due to phlegm(ÓÃÚ»ãýЫúþ), accumulation of stagnant blood(õëúìúþ), internal injury by seven emotion (öÒï×á¶ß¿úþ). 2. The type of deficiency of both the heart and spleen(ãýÞ¡å»úÈúþ) occurs when the heart and spleen is injured by overthinking(ÞÖÕçΦÓø), The symptoms are heart palpitation(ãýÌû), continuous palpitation(??), insomnia(á´ØÛ), hypochondric discomfort(ãýÛá), dream disturbed sleep(ÒýÙÓ), being easy to be scared(æ¶Ìó), dizziness(úßý»), these are caused by blood deficiency of the heart(ãýúìÝÕðë), poor appetite(ëæãÝÝÕòÉ), loss of appetite(Ò¡?), short breath(ѨÓ), sense of turgid abdormen(ÜÙÝ»ø³Ø»Êï), loose stool(ÒúßÒøµ), these are caused by deficiency of the spleen(Þ¡úÈ), lassitude and weakness (ãóÏæù¹Õô), lassitude of the extremities (ÞÌò¶ÙíÕô), dim complexion (Øüßäá´ü¤), pale lips(àßòõÓ¿), thready and feeble(Øæá¬å°ÙíÕô), these are caused by deficiency of both qi and the blood(ѨúìúÈáß). The remedy is nourishing the heart-blood(å×ãýúì) and regulating the spleen(ìµÞ¡÷Ï). I can prescribe the recipes such as Guibitang(ÏýÞ¡÷·), Gagambosimtang(Ê¥ÊõÜÍãý÷·), Seongbitang(á¥Þ¡÷·), Insin-guisadan(ìÚãêÏýÞìÓ¡), Insamyangyoungtang(ìÑ߸å×ç´÷·), Sojungjihwan(á³ïÒò¤ü¯), Yungjigo(ç¬ò¤ÍÇ), Palmijungjihwan(ø¢Ú«ïÒò¤ü¯), etc., 3. The type of deficiency of the heart(ãýúÈúþ) occurs when the heart-blood is injured by the mental tiredness(ãêÒ¾) and so blood cannot nourish the heart. The symptoms are amnesia(ËíØÎ), short breath(ѨÓ), heart palpitation(ãýÌû), perspire spontaneously(í»ùÒ), facial pallidness(äÔØüóïÛÜ), pale lips (àßòõÓ¿ÛÜ), feeble pulse and lassitude(ØæúÈÙíÕô), intermittent pulse(Ì¿ÓÛØæ). The remedy is nourishing the hart and blood and allaying restlessness(ÜÍãýìÌúìäÌãê). The type of deficiency of the kidney(ãìúÈúþ) occurs when the kidney-qi and kidney-essence is deficient(ãìѨãìïñÝÕðë) and so it cannot nourish the brain. The symptoms arc amnesia(ËíØÎ), ache at the waist and lassitude in the lower extremities(馻ê÷Úæã), dizziness and tinnitus(Ôéý»ì¼çð), emmission and premature ejaculation(ë¶ïñðÄàÜ), burning sensation of the five centres(çéãýÛáæð), flushed tongue(àßûõ), rapid and small palse(Øæá¬Þü). The remedy is nourishing the kidney and strengthen the essence(ÜÍãììÌïñ).
